When I was little, I knew that I loved to travel, I just didn’t understand why. Now that I am older, I realized that I love to travel because of the cultural aspect. Meeting people and seeing places so different from what I am used to makes my soul flourish. I have only been out of the country a couple times, so I was ecstatic to learn that GCU was offering a virtual trip to Japan.
Our virtual trip to Japan was more than I even imagined! We traveled through Japan as though we were really there! I felt as though I could smell the cherry blossoms and reach out to touch the bamboo.
Our final excursion at GCU’s Japanese Tea Garden was fascinating. We learned about the history of the garden and all it has to offer. I also tried matcha tea for the first time- delicious!
Thank you all who took the time to put this virtual trip together. I am so thankful for this community who loves learning about new cultures just as much as I do! I hope to see you all in Japan next May!
