We arrived in Costa Rica today after a long 12 hours of travel. After we landed, we met with our travel leader and went to our hotel. From there, we went on a tour of San José. We saw all different monuments, parks, and old buildings. We also saw the places where past presidents lived as well as the location of the Costa Rican electoral college. We also learned about the history of Costa Rica and the importance that coffee had on the Costa Rican economy. We learned that without coffee, Costa Rica would not be the same as we know it today. Towards the end of the tour, we were able to try Costa Rican speciality coffee that was brewed right in front of us. After the tour, we went and had dinner at our hotel. Such an eventful day!
