Day 4 – Iceland

By: Darren Burleson

On Day 4 we went on a trip called “The Golden Circle” which is a road that takes you to multiple stopping points of national parks and other sightseeing locations. We started at a canyon that had an overlooking view of the valley. We then stopped for lunch at a tomato farm where we had delicious tomato soup with fresh bread. We were able to go into the greenhouses which are the largest in iceland. Our next destination on “The Golden Circle” was a national park that had geysir. We had the opportunity to watch this active geysir erupt which was a beautiful sight. Our last location on “The Golden Circle” was a huge waterfall that originates from a glacier. The mist from the waterfall allowed us to see a rainbow coming from it. We move on to our next hotel which was on a farm in the country side. We were surrounded by farm animals and beautiful landscape. The hotel even had a cat on the farm which was very friendly and cute.
